Classic 4x4 Hire has been founded by the previous owners of SHB Hire Ltd, who were one of the UK’s largest vehicle rental businesses.
Having sold SHB Hire Ltd the family decided to continue their business activities with Brooklyn 4x4 Ltd, Dormobile ltd and setting up Classic 4x4 Hire.
Over the 55+ years of SHB quite a few old Land Rovers had been accumulated and these together with newer Land Rover Defenders formed the start of Classic 4x4 Hire.
These Land Rovers ranged in age from 1948 to 2016 and included many Special Editions, Fire Engines, Breakdown Trucks, Ambulances etc.
Other makes of 4x4s have been added and include Austin Gipsys, Austin Champs, WW2 Jeeps and Toyota Hiluxes.
Demand has driven us to add Vans, Dropsides, MEWPS, Crewvans, Tippers etc to the fleet.
Our vehicles are used by Festivals, the Film Industry, Weddings and a wide range of commercial businesses.
