About Classic 4x4 Hire

Classic 4x4 Hire has been founded by the previous owner of SHB Hire Ltd, who were one the UK’s largest and oldest established vehicle rental businesses.

The current owner has an obsession for Land Rover Defender vehicles and has built up a fantastic collection of from the start of production in 1948 to the end of production in 2016. Some are in the early stages of refurb, some completely original and some that have been fully restored.

The fleet includes many Special Edition Land Rovers as well as Fire Engine, Ambulance and Breakdown versions.

A lot of these vehicles are available for hire and suitable for Festivals, Film Sets, Weddings, Proms or just a day out.  If you wish to drive the vehicle yourself then you must provide fully comprehensive insurance, otherwise we can arrange chauffeurs for you.
